Debbie Lawson is a Scottish artist primarily known for her sculptures in which wild animals and flora emerge from traditional patterned carpets. She graduated from the Royal College of Art, Central Saint Martins and the University of East Anglia.

She was commissioned by the Art Production Fund to create a solo show at the Rockefeller Center, New York, and also recently exhibited at Leila Heller Gallery, Dubai; Museum Villa Rot, Germany and Turner Contemporary. Her work is in public and private collections including those of the UK Parliament, the University of the Arts London, the Saatchi Gallery and Perth Museum Art Gallery – one of the UK’s oldest collections, where her work is on permanent display in the Modern Scots gallery.

She is represented by Sargent's Daughters, New York, where she will have her second solo exhibition in April 2026.
